NEBB HEADS TO CHARM CITY Jim Huber, a NEBB Qualified Supervisor in Building Systems Commissioning, Sound and Vibration, and TAB disciplines, will be presenting The Impact of Commissioning on Sustainability & Persistence on Thursday, March 6th at 9 AM at the NFM&T Show in Baltimore, Maryland. Jim is President of Complete Commissioning, Inc., a full service commissioning firm serving the Washington and Baltimore metropolitan areas. Jim currently serves on NEBB’s Sound and Vibration Committee and is the Technical Committee Chairman for the Capital-Mar-Va chapter of NEBB.  If you would like to receive a copy of the presentation, contact Karen at Karen@nebb.org.

CALL FOR SPEAKERS FOR THE 2008 ANNUAL MEETING AND ANNUAL CONFERENCE: NEBB is interested in receiving proposals on technical and informational sessions with a focus on presentations by industry experts on various topics related to the NEBB disciplines: Testing-Adjusting-Balancing, Sound and Vibration Measurement, Cleanroom Performance Testing, Building Systems Commissioning, Retro-Commissioning, and Fumehood Performance Testing. NEBB HITS THE BIG SCREEN: Did you see Jerry Bauers’ interview on www.hvactv.com on February 26th?  The link to the interview can be found at www.nebb.org. Jerry speaks on NEBB certification program and the value of NEBB-certified firms bring to a building.  This is a great tool to show to and share with your customers.

RECERTIFICATION DEADLINE:  Firms due to be recertified in 2007 must complete the process by March 31, 2008 to avoid automatic suspension. Firms not recertified by June 30, 2008 are automatically decertified. Instrument calibration and verification of instrument ownership on NEBB Form C must be made with your local chapter. The new instrument ownership requirements in the 7th Edition (2005) Procedural Standards for Testing Adjusting Balancing of Environmental Systems must be used to comply with the 2007 requirements. Call your local chapter for a copy of Form C. Remember, there is a $250 reinstatement fee for all suspended firms.

CONSTRUCTION COMMENCES FOR  WWW.NEBB.ORG:   Over the next couple of months, www.nebb.org will be going under a redesign.  The site will provide a user-friendly format, cutting-edge technology showcasing NEBB training and programs, and a few interactive features.  During the construction phase, the current www.nebb.org will remain fully functional. Stay tuned for a grand opening date of the redesigned www.nebb.org!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR THE 2008 ANNUAL MEETING AND EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE: The NEBB Annual Meeting and Educational Conference will be held at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa in Tucson, Arizona on October 30 – November 1, 2008.

25 Year Pins
 

If you have held NEBB qualification for 25 years or more, you are eligible to receive a NEBB 25 Year Pin.  Contact Sheila Simms 301-977-3698 or sheila@nebb.org to verify eligibility.  The commemorative pin will be sent to you as a token of NEBB’s appreciation for years of service.  The 25 Year Pin recognizes NEBB-qualified status, commitment to high standards, and long-time, unique and unparalleled professional stature.  The NEBB 25 Year Pin should be worn proudly and with distinction.
