NEBB’s main priority is always the health and safety of the community. As news of the spread of the Delta Variant continues to mount, NEBB has received inquiries about the upcoming Annual Conference. At this time, NEBB intends to move forward with an in-person Conference on October 7-9, 2021. Please know we are actively monitoring the developments and restrictions set forth by Hawaii. As of now, Maui County has not changed their restrictions since the beginning of the pandemic. What we are hearing in the news now, are not new restrictions, just recommendation from the Governor of Hawaii for leisure travelers who are “thinking about planning a trip”. “Professionally structured events” that include more than 25 people do have to submit a mitigation plan for the county officals for approval, however this is nothing new and the Ritz Carlton has been adhering to these procedures for all their in-person events this year, and our mitigation plan has been approved by the state.
In order to allow a robust and informative meeting for our members, we are committed to providing an innovative event that will maximize value for attendees and believe the NEBB conference is considered essential for our attendees with education, business meetings and certifications for businesses.
We will continue to communicate regularly to inform everyone of event news and updates as they develop. We will follow the CDC guidance with Hawaii and Maui County guidelines and requirements.
